National Honor Society
National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes outstanding high school students. In addition to academic success, National Honor Society seeks to distinguish students who demonstrate dedication to the four core pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The Dublin Scioto High School Chapter values dedication to the four pillars prior to induction, through the application process, and after acceptance. Please read below for a description of each of the four pillars.
Scholarship: a student's dedication to academic achievement and knowledge acquired through study.
Service: a student's willingness to voluntarily contribute to his or her school and community, done without compensation and with a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic spirit.
Leadership: a student's ability to act as a role model and have a positive and constructive influence on his or her community.
Character: a student's demonstration of morality and ethics; students exemplify cooperativeness, high standards of honesty and reliability, courtesy, concern, and respect for others.
