High School Academic Programs & Pathways Guide

It is the responsibility of each student to see that requirements for graduation, college articulation, and athletic eligibility are met. Counselors will review all junior and senior transcripts in the fall to verify that each student is on track for graduation.

Please use this Graduation Check-List to assist in tracking your progress toward graduation.

Important to Note

Schedule change requests cannot be guaranteed because many classes are already at max capacity and class sections are only offered during certain times of the day, limiting the ability to make changes.

How to Request a Schedule Change

Schedule change requests for the 2025-2026 school year can be submitted starting August 11th, when schedules are posted. Please find the link to the schedule change form posted below.

Paper copies of the Schedule Change Request Form are also available for students to pick up in the Student Services office. 

Please remember, a completed schedule change form (with a parent/guardian signature) is required for ALL requests; emails alone will not be accepted. Once you have completed your Schedule Change Request Form, please turn it into the front desk of the Student Services office. 

When Will I Find Out If My Schedule Change Request Is Possible? 

All submitted forms will be reviewed in the order that they are received. However, priority will be given to schedules that contain errors. Due to high volumes, please allow extra time for your counselor to respond/process your schedule change request. 

If there is an error with a student's schedule... (ie. there is a gap in the schedule with no class, a class appears on the schedule twice, the student is missing a graduation-required core subject area on their schedule, etc.) every effort will be made to correct the issue prior to the first day of school. 

If the student has changed their mind about the classes they want to take... the counselors will begin processing these types of schedule change requests on the first day of school. We cannot guarantee that these schedule change requests can be made because the master schedule is set and many classes are already at their max capacity. 

IMPORTANT: While a student is waiting to find out if their schedule change request is possible, they must follow their current schedule exactly as it is. 

Dates for Adding/Dropping Courses

• 1st Semester Course Drop Dates:

  • The last day to ADD a credit-bearing course is:
 August 21, 2025
  • Drop a course ON OR BEFORE October 29, 2025 - Notation on the transcript will be expunged
  • Drop a course AFTER October 29, 2025 - A Withdrawal Fail (WF) will be listed on the transcript and calculated as a failure in the student's GPA

• 2nd Semester Course Drop Dates:

  • The last day to ADD a credit-bearing course is: January 8, 2026
  • Drop a course ON OR BEFORE March 27, 2026 - Notation on the transcript will be expunged
  • Drop a course AFTER March 27, 2026 - A Withdrawal Fail (WF) will be listed on the transcript and calculated as a failure in the student's GPA

Warning: Add/Drop dates for College Credit Plus courses are based on the academic calendar of the applicable university.  Parents are responsible for tuition, fees, and textbooks if dropped after the university's deadlines.

Please see the important information below that was presented at the Freshman Parent Meeting on Wednesday, August 7th. 

Official transcript requests for college admissions must be completed using the student's SchooLinks account. Students can access unofficial transcripts, send NCAA transcripts, and request official copies directly in SchooLinks.

Important to Note:

• Transcripts are updated at the end of each semester (GPA's are also updated at this time)
• Transcripts only display the student's weighted GPA
• Transcripts do NOT include ACT/SAT test scores or End-of-Course Assessment scores
• Transcripts display all of a student's earned Diploma Seals 

Work permits are required in the State of Ohio for minors under the age of 18 who have not graduated from high school. A new work permit is required every time you change employers.

Step 1: Obtain and Complete the Application

Request the official Minor Work Permit Application Form from the Student Services office

During the summer months, please contact the main office line/building secretary during the summer to obtain your work permit application. Note, processing times may be longer.

The application requires completion and signatures from four parties:

1. The Student: Complete the Student/Applicant Information section
2. The Parent/Guardian: Ask your parent/guardian to sign where indicated. 
   • Note: If the residency documents on file are not current, the school will request current proofs of residency prior to completing.
3. The Employer: Ask your employer to complete the Pledge of Employer section, including the Employer's Tax ID Number (9 digits), and enter actual numbers for the number of days, hours, starting time, and quitting time.
   • The number of days per week, hours per day, starting time, and quitting time must be actual hours and times (numbers). Even if your hours and days will vary, a number must be entered.
   • We will not accept the words “varies” or “representative”. If you submit an application without specific days and times, it will be returned to you.
4. The Physician: Ask your physician to complete the Physician's Certificate for Minor Work Permit, including signature and office stamp with phone number.
   • If you have a current physical (defined as being within the last 365 days) on file at the school, you may use that in lieu of a Physician's Certificate.
   • It is your responsibility to get your physical from Final Forms or from the athletic department 

Step 2: Submitting Required Documentation

Once the application is completed by the student, the student must bring it back to the Student Services office with the following documentation included:

1. Completed and Signed Application Form (all four sections)
2. Physician's Certificate or Current Physical 
3. Proof of Age: An original or copy of a Birth Certificate, Passport, Baptismal Record, Hospital Birth Registration, or Driver's License

Step 3: Picking up the Processed Work Permit

1. The current processing time is 24-48 business hours after submission. The school will contact the student when the permit is ready.
2. The student must be present to pick up the final work permit as their signature is required. The school designee will countersign the permit at that time, and a copy will be kept in the Student Services office.
